Meet the 2025 Miss Watermelon Queen!

Hailey Heseltine ECB Publishing, Inc.  Heaven-Leigh Purvis was crowned the 2025 Miss Watermelon Queen by Maggie Boyd, 2024 Miss Watermelon Queen, on the evening of Saturday, May 31.  Purvis is the daughter of Jessica and James “Jim” Purvis IV. She is the granddaughter of Helen and James “Pete” III Purvis, and Georgianne and Kevin Bauer. She was born and spent her early childhood in Valdosta, Ga., and moved to Jefferson County when she was in third grade.  This fall, Purvis will enter her senior year at Leon High School, where she is a part of the National English Honors Society, National Science Honors Society, Anchor Club, Dance Marathon, and is the Vice President of
