Meet the new Miss Watermelon Queen

Kenzie James ECB Publishing, Inc. Jefferson County native Maggie Boyd was crowned the 2024 Miss Watermelon Queen on Saturday, June 1. Boyd, born and raised in Jefferson County, was homeschooled and dual-enrolled at North Florida College (NFC). She graduated with her Associate in Arts degree from NFC in December of 2023, and plans to attend Florida State University on a pre-med track to pursue interdisciplinary medical science and minor in Portuguese.
