She moved to Jefferson County 25 years ago to “get away from the hustle and bustle, the traffic and the crowds” of the city, settling in the Lamont community instead. She recalls searching for a house in the county and seeing an advertisement that mentioned “a short and beautiful drive to Tallahassee” advertising a “nice, quiet, and cozy” property in Lamont.
