Meet your neighbor: Jessica Burns

Hailey Heseltine ECB Publishing, Inc. Meet Jessica Burns! Burns has lived in Monticello for nearly ten years. She was originally born and raised in Texas, in the Dallas area, near a town called Flower Mound. She decided to move to the North Florida area because she accepted a state job, the position of State Archaeological Conservator. Since them, she has been working with state archaeological collections for about nine years. “I've had a fascination with artifacts since I was about fourteen,” Burns says. She recalls a project in eighth grade, when her history teacher had the class decorate pots together. Afterward, the pots were smashed, and the students had to try to reassemble t
