Her family has lived in Jefferson County for generations, and it was here that she attended school and learned to love her local community. Wiggins describes herself as semi-retired. She spent most her life as a stay-at-home mom; she now works one day per week for Riley Palmer Construction Company as a cleaner, which she says she loves doing.
