Meet your neighbor – Mary Elizabeth Vaughan

Hailey Heseltine ECB Publishing, Inc. Meet Mary Elizabeth Vaughan, your neighbor who has traveled all over the country yet still chose our community to call home. She was born into a military family in Savannah, Ga., and spent much of her time relocating throughout her life. Over the years, she has lived in several different states and many cities within them. The first time she came to Monticello was in 1975, she instantly fell in love with the town. “I always have just adored Monticello,” she says. She cites the quiet nature, lack of traffic, and friendliness of the people as some of the things that make it special. Though she left the town later to begin living on a boat in Pa
