Bill and Lois Foster have lived in Monticello for the past 22 years. They are both originally from Chicago, Ill., which is where they married before making the journey south.
Lois was 14 and Bill was 16 when they met. Bill used to take three city buses across town to visit Lois when they were still dating.
They share three children, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Bill previously worked for Stanadyne, a fuel injection system company in Tallahassee. Lois worked many years here, in Monticello, as the food service manager at Jefferson High School. She worked at the old high school building, as well as the new facility off of Highway 19.
They both love Monticello’s small-town atmosphere and prefer it to the hustle and bustle of the city life they used to know.
Bill and Lois will celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary this coming September. They are most thankful for God’s many blessings in their lives including that He led them to Monticello, all those years ago.
