Meeting discusses proposed Animal Control ordinance changes

On Thursday morning, Aug. 1, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners held a meeting in the Jefferson County Courthouse Annex, located at 435 Walnut St. Among the items on the agenda was the proposed changes to Animal Control ordnances in the County, an item that effectively filled the meeting room with concerned citizens. The meeting began with a prayer and reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a request to silence all phones.
