MercyMe announces “I Can Only Imagine” sequel

Leah Androski ECB Publishing, Inc. The 2018 film “I Can Only Imagine,” announced they will be releasing a sequel. Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate announced that during the Spring of 2025, “I Can Only Imagine 2” will begin production. This sequel will continue MercyMe’s story and will have many returning cast members gracing the screen. Returning cast members include: Bart Millard, Dennis Quaid and Trace Adkins. This sequel will tell the story of MercyMe’s song, “Even If.” When Millard’s son, Sam, was a toddler he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes.
