David Garrett, the new Associational Mission Strategist, has been working for the last two and a half years as a Discipleship/Revitalization Consultant with leading pastors in not only the Middle Florida Association, but also pastors in Suwannee and North Florida areas, participating in a seven-month long study of personal and church revitalization principles. According to the Middle Florida Baptist Association website, he has also provided one-on-one coaching for pastors and leaders and developed those leaders into teams in Suwannee, North Florida and North Central Florida Associations. Through his work with other Associations in Florida, he has assisted with supply preaching and leading conferences, as well as providing private counseling services as needed. During the last year, he has made himself available to the Middle Florida Baptist Association, and they acknowledge the impact that his guidance and leadership has made.
Garrett currently lives in Live Oak with his wife, Donnie, and together they have three grown children, and four grandchildren. His hobbies include reading, watching movies, solving puzzles, playing games, and spending time with his family.
Garrett's role as the new Associational Mission Strategist started in November of 2022, and will enable him to make mission-work more straightforward, accessible and available the churches in our area.
