Milton Driggers, 61, of Madison, FL, passed away at Madison County Memorial Hospital on December 13, 2018, after a six-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
Milton worked for the United States Post Office for 33 years as a mail carrier before retiring in 2013. Milton loved people and would do anything to bring a smile to their face. He was strong in his Christian faith and lived to serve others. Milton was a member of First Baptist Church of Madison. He enjoyed making wonderful memories with his family. Whether it was anticipating trips to the mountains or family gatherings, family was his favorite place to be. He enjoyed the outdoors and woodworking. Most afternoons you could find him outside. Milton will be missed greatly by his family. He loved big. Daddy or Papa was his greatest joy next to husband. His devotion and commitment leave an incredible legacy.
Milton is survived by his wife, Donna Alderman Driggers, of almost 40 years; their children, Melissa (Willy) Gamalero and Jennifer (Charlie) Meyer; grandchildren Gabe and Ben Gamalero, Anna, Alex and Alyssa Meyer; mother, Betty Driggers; sisters, Donna Rice and Nancy Smith (Peter); as well as a host of niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father J.C. “Buck” Driggers.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, at First Baptist Church of Madison, with visitation one hour prior to the service at 2 p.m. Rev. Gabe Krell and Rev. Jackie Watts will be officiating.
Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
