Missing elderly adult located safe and sound

On Friday morning, March 7, a little after 10:30 a.m., the Monticello Police Department (MPD) was flagged down on North Railroad Street in reference to an elderly female who had been missing from a residence near Rocky Branch Road. The woman was described as an 82 year old black female, who had reportedly shown signs of early onset of dementia/Alzheimer's. MPD immediately contacted both the Jefferson and Wakulla branches of the Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) for assistance and the implementations of their K-9 teams.
