A bill introduced in the Florida Legislature for the coming 2026 session aims to keep individuals convicted of serious crimes from being released prior to sentencing. House Bill 445, titled “Mandatory Remand to Custody upon Conviction of Dangerous Crimes,” better known as “Missy’s Law,” was filed by Representative Sam Greco of St. Augustine on Nov. 18.
