On Tuesday, March 21, Monticello became the beneficiary of a brand new chiropractic office. Joseph Herring, owner and chiropractor of Madison Chirotherapy, has opened up a secondary location in Monticello. This new office is located at 1301 S. Jefferson St. and will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Herring says that his inspiration to open a new location came from several patients at his Madison office, many of which were regularly making the commute from Monticello in order to receive care. Realizing that there was no current chiropractic office available for patients in Monticello, he decided to extend his services to the local area.
“I saw that there was a need,” says Herring, “and I wanted to fill that need.”
His new office, called the Monticello Chiropractic Center, will provide chiropractic services and regenerative medicine to patients, platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) and stem cell treatments. Herring's goal is to help as many people as possible live happier, healthier lives that are as pain-free as possible. While providing quality patient-care and great customer service for his clients is an important aspect of his work, Herring says that beyond that, he strives to educate his patients on their conditions, and provide them with the lifestyle changes and activities that can enable them to live comfortably, even after treatment.
“I want to provide a healthy lifestyle to my patients,” says Herring. “One that they can incorporate into their lives that will help them manage their conditions. I want to address each of my patients as a person, and help find the root cause of their discomfort or pain so I can work with them to find ways to empower them to manage it.”
Herring has owned and opaerated Madison Chirotherapy in Madison County for the last six years. Before that, he worked with another chirotherapy office out of Valdosta, and says the most rewarding part of his job is seeing someone walk out feeling better than when they walked in.
The Monticello office is now taking new patients, and accepts most major insurances, including Medicare. He also offers great self-pay options. Herring would like to note that the new office hours in Monticello will not affect the hours of operation in Madison.
Herring is a U.S. Navy veteran. He and his wife have been married for 10 years and have three children. When he isn't working with patients, he enjoys going to baseball games, Seaworld and is a self-proclaimed Bulldogs fan.
Herring would like to extend his gratitude to the citizens of Monticello for welcoming him into the community. “I look forward to serving you for years to come!”
