With the large farming community we have in Jefferson County, it makes sense to have events that support those families and businesses. The Monticello Farm Swap is one such event.
The Farm Swap takes place on the second Saturday of every month, this month being April 10, at Monticello Milling, located at 500 S. Jefferson St. in Monticello, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Farm Swap will be set up in the back of Monticello Milling, and anyone is welcome to come and shop or set up a booth. You can bring anything farm-related you want to sell, farm animals, farm equipment, produce or animal products or any homemade goods as well.
There is no fee for a vendor to set up, and the event is open to the public. You don't even have to call anyone to reserve a spot, just show up with your goods and set up. It isn't entirely limited to selling goods, either. If someone wants to advertise their farm or services their farm offers, they can also set up a booth and do things such as hand out flyers to advertise.
At this month's farm swap, there will be free hot dogs for everyone stopping by, courtesy of Sandy Acres Farm.
The Monticello Farm Swap is a wonderful way to get some free advertising or sell anything farm-related or homemade. For those looking to get some farm or homemade goods, you might find just what you're looking for here. To stay updated on the Monticello Farm Swap, updates are posted to Monticello Farm Exchange on FaceBook.
