Monticello Milling Feed & Garden Center held an appreciation lunch for Jefferson County's first responders on Friday, April 17, at its location at 500 S. Jefferson St.
Several law enforcement officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Monticello Police Department, Emergency Management, Fire Rescue, volunteer firefighters and healthcare workers dropped in for a lunch of grilled hamburgers and hotdogs.
Monticello Milling's owner and operator Al Cooksey and his employees were on-hand to help with the meal prepping, serving and to welcome and thank the Jefferson County first responders for their service and dedication to the people they serve, especially during this time of health crisis and job insecurity.
Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Katrina Richardson was also in attendance, offering homemade, cloth face masks to those attending.
