A long time haircut staple in Monticello closes its doors with a sentimental farewell. After 37 years working in Monticello, Christine Williams has decided to move her business, Christine's Barber and Beauty Salon, from its long term residency on West Washington Street in Monticello, to its new location in Thomasville, Ga.
Williams is a resident of Thomasville, but has enjoyed her many years working in Monticello and serving the community with quality beauty and barber services.
Williams would like to announce that she has officially opened up her new shop in Thomasville, located on 1303 Remington Ave., where she looks forward to a fresh start.
“They wanted the building for something, I think,” Williams said in an interview Friday, when asked why she had decided to move her business. “I just couldn't afford what they wanted me to do to the place, so I had to move.” Her new location will continue to provide many of the quality services that her previous location offered in the past, including the following: shampoo and sets, haircuts, beard trims, eyebrow shaping, perms, frosts and color treatments.
While she currently serves the members of the Thomasville community, Williams will always hold a soft spot for her Monticello patrons, and welcomes them to come on over to her new shop in Georgia and come to see her!
“I don't really know what to say,” Williams said, “I am going to miss everybody! But I would really love for my customers to come and see me. Give me a call!”
To make an appointment, call Christine Williams at (850) 997-4767 or (229) 977-5099. She looks forward to hearing from all of her friends here in Monticello.
