Investigators with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), with assistance from Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) agents and the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Mario Myles on Tuesday, April 28, on a JCSO warrant for second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
The charges are a result of the investigation into the murder of Therell Wayne Hall, Jr.
Deputies with the JCSO located the body of 34-year-old Hall on an isolated portion of Springfield Road, in Jefferson County, on November 1, 2019. After an extensive investigation spanning several months, Myles was arrested near his residence in Tallahassee on April 28 and booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
The Office of the State Attorney, 2nd Judicial Circuit, will prosecute this case.
“The arrest is a result of many long hours of investigative work. I would like to thank FDLE, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and JCSO investigators for their hard work,” said Jefferson County Sheriff Mac McNeill. “I would especially like to thank the lead investigator on this case, Lieutenant Dan Williams, for his tireless work and dedication that ultimately ensured the process of justice for the family of Therell Wayne Hall, Jr.”
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with any additional information to provide is asked to please contact the JCSO at (850) 997-2523.
