MY VIEW: The price of eggs

Eggs are ten dollars at the store, which is almost unimaginable. For too long we have disparaged chickens. I think chickens have gotten revenge. Our language does not laud chickens. "Hey, are you chicken?" " That is so petty and chicken sh---" We do not acknowledge chickens’ thought processes. "Why did the chicken cross the road?" We think of them as exceedingly stupid. Not to ignore the obvious. We eat their offspring and we cook them. What town would be the same without a fried chicken joint? We use their manure to fertilize gardens; we use them to rid gardens of pests. We feed them our garbage. There are odes, poems and songs written about other animals; even vegetables. Remember t
