National Security Matters – BDA

BDA is a military acronym that stands for “bomb damage assessment.” It is the result of a military strike and answers the question, ‘how did we do?’ What are the results of the expenditure of weapons and the risk we assume when striking the enemy? In the aftermath of our attack on 85 targets in Syria and Iraq that were responsible for attacking American outposts in those countries, what was the result of our attacks? It is all well and fine that we dropped 125 precision guided munitions on these 85 targets, but did we hit anything of consequence? Did we degrade the enemy’s capability in any meaningful way?
