New exhibit at Starling Musings is now open

Heather Ainsley ECB Publishing, Inc. On Saturday, Sept. 7, Starling Musings opened the doors of its art gallery and shop to reveal their newest exhibit to the public. The September exhibit features the impactful artwork of local artist Sydney Atkinson, who has been sculpting, casting and painting for most of his life. The exhibit features only a fraction of his full portfolio of works, some of which date back to the '60s or earlier. Primarily abstract in nature, his work serves an a creative outlet for some of the larger themes in Atkinson's life, including his experience in the military as well as the burden of living in a remote region.
