Lina Nissley
ECB Publishing, Inc.
The newest team member to the ECB Publishing Inc. crew of reporters and writers is Lina Nissley.
She is happy for the opportunity to be interning for the Monticello News and Jefferson County Journal during the next two months and learning the details regarding the newspaper industry.
Lina was born and raised in Tallahassee, where she was homeschooled until she began attending Tallahassee Community College (TCC).
Currently at TCC, Lina studies literature; reading was Lina’s favorite activity growing up, and she could usually be found with her nose in a book, magazine, or of course – newspaper.
She has carried that great interest in stories, whether true or fictional, into the present. Recently she assisted as a Fiction Editor for the 2020 issue of Eyrie, an art and literary magazine produced by TCC.
Lina is new to Monticello and she is excited to meet the members of the community and get to know them. A fond memory she has of visiting the area is seeing several productions at the Monticello Opera House. Lina looks forward to exploring more of Monticello and learning more about its rich history.
In her free time, Lina enjoys spending time with friends and family, painting and practicing the guitar. She attends Piedmont Park Alliance Church, where she volunteers as part of the worship team, playing the keyboard and singing.
Lina has been writing stories ever since she could hold a pencil. She is thrilled to be a part of the ECB Publishing team, where she can tell the stories of others and have the opportunity to do what she loves.
