New year, new prices, says U.S Postal Service

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has announced an update to their current prices, which is scheduled to take affect later this month. In October of 2023, USPS filed a notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) about an increase in their prices. The new rates proposed would include a 2 cent increase to the price of their Forever Stamp, increasing the price from 66 cents to 68 cents.
On Jan. 21, 2024, these changes will be placed into full effect. There will be no change to the additional-ounce price, which will remain at 24 cents.
