The North Florida Wildlife Center (NFWC) is holding a special Earth Day Open House on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28. The gate opens at 9 a.m. and opportunities to explore last until 4 p.m. Meet the new lemur pup and kangaroo joey. Enjoy free goat feedings and face painting. Have fun learning through lively animal presentations, insightful keeper talks, and other interactive experiences each day.
The event also features the grand opening of the new lemur troop habitat, and local food trucks will also be on site to provide food and drinks.
“Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate nature and conservation with us,” says NFWC Executive Director Ryan Reines.
Tickets for this weekend have special low pricing of just $10 for kids and $15 for adults when you order online at NorthFloridaWildlife.org or by scanning the QR code printed here. At the door, prices are still just $15 and $20, well below the usual cost of admission.
In addition to all of the special things going on, don't forget to embark on a self-guided tour of the center's beautiful permanent exhibits and habitats to see an amazing diversity of rescued and endangered animals from around the world who have found a safe home at the NFWC.
