Notes from the Jefferson County Retired Educators

Story submitted The Jefferson County Retired Educators would like to give a big “thank you” to the Jefferson County Schools for their assistance and cooperation in awarding scholarships to 10 deserving high school  seniors.  The guidance counselor, Ms. Latara Leland and the Senior English teacher Ms. Laura Louissaint provided us with the support we needed, by way of distributing and collecting the applications, as well as providing an interview room on campus. Ten complete applications were received, along with letters of recommendation, and a copy of each student's acceptance letter to the school they planned to attend.  When the group was notified that there were 10 applicatio
