Officials consider use of restitution money to purchase lifesaving equipment

County officials are considering using some of the recovered money from the courthouse grand theft case for the public good, namely the purchase of life-saving tools for Fire Rescue.
Lt. William “Tommy” Arthur, of Fire Rescue, made the request for additional funding to the Jefferson County Commission on Thursday evening, May 15.
