Hailey Heseltine ECB Publishing, Inc. On Monday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 p.m., dozens of local history enthusiasts headed to the Monticello Courthouse for the quarterly Who We Were event. This is one of many in a series of presentations about the history of some of Monticello's own founding families, people who unquestionably made Jefferson County the place it is today. This particular session was about the Shehee and Finlayson families, and the speaker was one of the family's own members, John Finlayson.
