Open Hearts UMC repairs Eagles Nest ramp

Local scout troops have been meeting since 1996 at the Eagles Nest, a building on the South Water Street property owned by American Legion Post 49. Over the years, construction and maintenance has been handled by many different individuals and groups. Recently, a maintenance need arose when the ramp that provides inclusive access to the facility for wheelchair and walker users became riddled with holes made by carpenter bees and woodpeckers, who had their own uses for the lumber.
