Order of the Eastern Star donates $35k to local nonprofits

The Order of the Eastern Star has donated $20,000 to Second Harvest of the Big Bend and $15,000 to the Monticello Opera House as part of their charitable giving program. Presentations were made on Wednesday, Feb. 18, to Eagle's Wings, a twice-monthly local food pantry in the Second Harvest network, and at the historic Monticello Opera House, a treasured arts venue in the heart of Jefferson County.
