Organ donation: how it works

Unlike seasonal gift drives and food donations, however, these people are waiting for organs, tissues, blood and other types of biological donations from someone who has elected to become an organ donor. Some patients wait on transplant lists for years, and others may even succumb to their ailments before a suitable donor can be found for them. According to Mid America Transplant, around 20 people die every day while waiting for a life-saving transplant. Just one single donor can impact over 75 different lives, enabling patients to res
