Overturned dump truck causes serious injury

Heather Ainsley ECB Publishing, Inc. On Monday, March 24, at approximately 8:10 a.m., a dump truck overturned. According to a press release provided by Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the truck was traveling north on S. Salt Road when the serpentine belt broke, causing a malfunction of the vehicle's power steering. As a result, the driver struggled to control the truck, veering off of the roadway on the right-hand side, swerving across the southbound lane and into the southbound shoulder of S. Salt Road, overturning as a result of the rotation. The overturned truck then collided with a traffic sign on the southbound shoulder, and came to a final rest in the southbound lane, facing west. T
