Part of Old Lloyd Road to be repaved

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. Jefferson County officials recently approved a 23-page agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the receipt of funding to resurface a small portion of Old Lloyd Road. The Jefferson County Commission approved the agreement on Thursday morning, July 18, after hearing that the engineering design for the road work had been completed. The FDOT awarded the county $685,264 for the project. The agreement calls for the resurfacing of 1.663 miles of Old Lloyd Road, from 500 feet east of Lloyd Creek Road to the I-10 overpass just north of the community of Lloyd.
