Peanut Butter Challenge Gets Results!

Melanie Southerland UF/IFAS Extension Service Jefferson County During the month of October 2023, Jefferson County rallied together and collected 1,335 lbs. of peanut butter for the annual Peanut Butter Challenge! Thank you to all the businesses, schools and civic groups that donated peanut butter. Everyone who donated is a winner, but we would like to recognize a few overachievers: * The Monticello Rotary Group with 230 lbs. * Mrs. Barrington’s class at Jefferson School with 206 lbs. * Mrs. Roberts's class at Aucilla Christian Academy with 116 lbs. The Florida Peanut Association is matching our donation, so that means we will have 2,670 lbs. of peanut butter to donate back to the
