Pency Anne Willie Lastinger (Pennie) of Lloyd, Fla., passed away April 26, 2022, while living with her daughter in Dahlonega Ga.
Pennie was born on March 20, 1943, and raised in the small metropolis of Lloyd, where her father was a farmer and her mother ran a country store in downtown Lloyd until 1956. Pennie was in the class of 1961 at Jefferson County High School. Pennie was a homemaker and worked with the family sod farm. Pennie has probably read every book in the library and then read them again. She loved to read, garden and cook. Pennie spent her last year with her daughter in Dahlonega enjoying her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Willie (Eddie Boy) and Gwendolyn Thompson Willie (Gwen); her husband, Shelby Lastinger; daughter, Shella, and brother, James Willie (Jim). She is survived by her son, Edward Lastinger (Eddie); daughter, Celia Sorensen (husband Tom); grandchildren, Shelby, John, Tommy, Malena, Maggie and David; niece, Gwendolyn Abigail Willie Martin (Abbie); great nephews, Kaden and Kallen; and great niece, Adalyn Rose Martin.
