Gardening can be a great excuse to spend some quality time outside, but with the time fading for prime planting weather, there might not be too much for a homeowner to do to occupy themselves. As your garden settles in for its long, winter nap, you may feel as if your time enjoying your garden or yard has come to an end until spring. But that's where you'd be wrong. The most ideal time to plant winter gardens is from September to mid-October. While some talented gardeners can still plant successfully through December, most of us mer
