Political Pronoun
Pesonal pronouns are substitutes or references for individuals or groups of people. That’s simple. Everyone uses personal pronouns when talking about family, friends, classmates, co-workers, and so on.
So, when and how does the pronoun ‘they’ become political? ‘They’ is political when used by politicians or candidates to make points in their favor and to the detriment of their opponents by declaring a group is somehow responsible for grievous wrongs.
How ‘they’ is used is more interesting. Its usage is not limited to election campaigns. ‘They’ is used by governments and dictators when referring to the other side or their opposition as terrorists or criminals. It is intend
