Ponderings…Among those things

This is the perfect time of year for reflection. The sun sets sooner (or appears to because we moved our clocks around), so the world gets dark and cold much sooner than the long, lazy days of summer. Winter brings with it an urgency, an impatience that nudges us swiftly into the new year, where there are new goals, new habits and “new me” mentalities to subscribe to. But even with all the urgency, all the “hurry up and get that sale,” “hurry up, it's getting dark!” and “hurry up, it's almost here,” there is no better time than now to slow down and reflect on the things that are most important. That's how I've been feeling lately, at least. I can feel the urgency of the worl
