Ponderings: Weathering storms

One of my dogs' names is Ollie. Ollie is a great dog; she is eager to please and happy to receive attention. She'll do just about anything for a treat, and will go just about anywhere for a ball. She has been with us happily for nearly a year, and my only regret is that it didn't happen years sooner. Ollie is afraid of thunder and lightning, an unfortunate byproduct of her life before coming to live with us. Her fear consumes her, fills her up, and when the lightning begins to flash, she trembles and paces around the house, frantic for a solution she cannot convey to us.
