The Otto M. Walker American Legion Post 49 mailed 12 care packages during the Christmas holidays from Monticello to Guam, where a member of their post, Air Force Lt. Col. Byron Arceneaux, is stationed.
Arceneaux, who belongs to a construction unit of the United States Air Force Reserves, received the packages. Then he distributed them to his fellow airmen who are currently deployed with him. They are working to renovate World War II airfields in Guam and Titian, which are located in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, a territory of the U. S. in the Pacific Ocean.
