Post 49 to offer firearm safety seminar

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. American Legion Post 49 invites the community to participate in its upcoming Firearm Safety Seminar. The informative session takes place this Saturday, Oct. 19, at 1065 S. Water St. from 1 to 3 p.m. Seminars like this can cost around $150, according to the event flyer, but the American Legion is offering it for no charge. Refreshments will be provided. Topics to be covered include overall safe handling of firearms as well as information for specific situations, such as firearm safety at home, while traveling in the car and during a hunting trip.
