
Prayer breakfast speaker highlights the power of faith to overcome fear

The Monticello Community Prayer Breakfast wrapped up its 2024-25 calendar on Thursday, May 1, the National Day of Prayer. The fellowship hall at the First Presbyterian Church filled with regulars, newcomers and special guests, who were welcomed by Gary Wright, who organizes the meetings, and Scott Arden, president of Rotary Club of Monticello, whose members prepared the bountiful breakfast buffet.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal of scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes with a variety of toppings (chopped pecans, whipped cream, fresh blueberries, diced strawberries, festive sprinkles and syrup.) As always, a notepad placed at the beginning of the food
