Proposed truck stop is set for review by planners

The Jefferson County Planning Commission is scheduled to review a major development application on Thursday, Feb. 8, beginning at 6 p.m.
The application, from Solero Land Company LLC, is for a truck fueling station at the corner of Nash Road and U.S. 19, to be called the Lamont Fueling Station.
The facility, which is to occupy a 35.9-acre parcel, will consist of a large fueling station and convenience store, as well as a sizable truck stop and maintenance center, with an associated parking and vehicle use area.
