Thanks to Gov Ron I woke up this morning and did not have to worry about a 14 year old crashing their golf cart into me. It seems Gov. Ron supports and understands the importance of public safety and the danger associated with teenagers driving golf carts. Way to go Gov Ron. Get this if teens want to to drive a golf cart they have to take a class get tested and obtain a valid state issued license.
I though how will our already stretched local police manage this new law. Then I read House Bill 1543. This bill allows 18 year olds to carry long guns with no training no testing and no license. It is clear that a 14 year old driving a golf cart is a clear and present danger and a public safety risk but an 18 year old caring a long gun poses no danger.
Smarter people than me figure this stuff out!!!
So here's my idea. We deputize 18 years olds issue them guns and have them police this new golf cart law. Now lets put some restrictions on this. Our teenage deputized militia will not be authorized to shoot the underage un-licensed golf cart teen driver but they can shoot the tires of the golf cart out thus stopping a very dangerous public safety threat.
To summarize teenagers can carry guns with no restriction and pose no public safety threat but the teen golf cart drivers need training testing and government issued licenses.
This makes perfect sense.
