Reams’ case won’t rest

The trial and sentencing of Kirk Reams, former Jefferson County Clerk of Court, may be over, but the case continues to draw judicial attention and generate activity.
On Tuesday, Oct. 15, Judge Stephen Everett, who presided over Reams’ trial and sentenced him to 18 months in the Florida Department of Corrections, to be followed by seven years of probation, issued an order extending the restitution hearing on the three related cases beyond the 60 days that was initially indicated.
Reams, along with codefendants Warren Charles Culp and Justin Tyler McNeill, were each charged with grand theft and organized scheme to defraud over a period of years while
