Reams’ restitution hearing set for January

The restitution hearing for Kirk Reams, the former clerk of court convicted of grand theft, has been scheduled for January, at which point the court will determine the amount that the latter will have to repay the county.
Circuit Judge Stephen Everett, who presided over Reams’ trial and sentenced him to 18 months with the Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC), on Oct. 28, issued an order instructing the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department to transport Reams to the Leon County Courthouse for a restitution hearing at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2025.
