Recent Chamber luncheons feature examples of growth

The February and March membership luncheons for the Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce featured two different examples of growth – one in food service and one in education.
On Feb. 6, after members and guests enjoyed a luncheon provided by The Porch on the Green, they heard from Stan West, owner of Riverside Café in St. Marks, Fla. West began by saying that his business began with just an idea of doing “something” at the end of the Tallahassee-St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail.
“Needless to say, one day at a time, the idea grew,” said West.
He knew that the trail was making the town of St. Marks and its river a destination
