Suwannee Station Baptist Church is gearing up to host its Second Annual Redeemed! Youth Rally for students in grades six and up. This year’s rally will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the church, located at 3289 101st Ln., in Live Oak.
“The Youth Rally held in October 2024 was a great success, and we pray it grows each year to reach more for the Lord,” said Sheila Pittman. “This annual rally was dedicated to the memory of Pastor Randy Lamb, who began having youth rallies many years ago in Suwannee County. His dream was to see the Suwannee County Coliseum full of youth searching to be redeemed and loved and finding that need met in Christ Jesus.”
According to Pittman, last year’s event saw over 150 attendees, with 21 individuals professing their faith in Jesus Christ. Participating churches and community groups included Friendship Baptist Church of Live Oak, First Baptist Church of Jasper, Lee First Baptist Church, Dowling Park Baptist, Macedonia Baptist Church, Corinth Baptist Church, and the Boys Ranch.
“The altars were completely full at the end of the service, and the aisles were full of so many others trying to make their way to the full altars. God is good,” said Pittman. “We hope even more will be involved this year and the coming years until we need an even bigger venue.”
This year’s rally will feature worship led by the Orchard Community Church band, a special message from guest speaker Pastor Josh Toomey from Northwoods Church of Thomasville, Ga., and dinner provided free of charge.
Church groups are encouraged to contact Suwannee Station Baptist Church in advance to ensure there is enough food for all attendees. The church can be contacted at (386) 362-2553 or ssbclo@yahoo.com. For more information, visit www.suwanneestation.com or follow the church on Facebook.
