On Dec. 21, 1962, in Monticello, Fla., a bright light entered the world – Reginald Rodell “Chuck” Watkins Sr. Born to the late Johnson and Mary Watkins, Chuck grew up in the heart of the Ashville community, where he became a beloved friend, brother, father and pillar of strength to all who knew him. Public viewing will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2025, at Hagan Funeral Service, 175 N. Railroad St. Monticello, Fla., (850) 997-1300. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Monticello Community Temple Church of God in Christ, 630 East Holly Street, Monticello, Fla.
