Remembering Guy de Vires

Hailey Heseltine ECB Publishing, Inc. Local resident Isabelle de Sercey, a resident of Jefferson County since the 1960s, has a tale to tell—the tale of her father, Guy de Vires. He was a veteran of World War I, participant in underground war efforts during World War II, engineer, gardener, sailor, and more. Most of all, de Sercey says she remembers him fondly as a father and personal hero. Despite having few memories of him, as he was arrested when she was 10 years old, she treasures her memories of him and hopes to share them with her community.
