Applications are now open for the Able Trust RISE Scholarship, a financial aid opportunity designed to support High School High Tech (HSHT) students as they transition from high school into college or technical education.
Created by The Able Trust, the Road to Independence and Success in Education (RISE) Scholarship helps Florida students continue their education after graduation while preparing for long-term success in the workforce. The scholarship can be used to help cover tuition or credit hour costs at Florida state colleges or technical schools.
RISE scholarships are awarded as a one-year Florida Prepaid College Plan, providing the equivalent of one full year of tuition at any of Florida’s 28 state colleges or technical institutions. The value of the scholarship may also be applied toward other public or private postsecondary institutions within the state.
To be eligible for the RISE Scholarship, students must:
• Be a high school senior and an active participant in HSHT.
• Complete at least one college or technical school application.
• Submit a completed RISE Scholarship application by the deadline.
All applications must be submitted by Tuesday, March 31. Students interested in applying are encouraged to review the scholarship flyer for the full details to access the application. For more information, students should contact their HSHT coordinator or visit www.abletrust.org.
